Sugar Spike
Sugar Spike is an installation work that explores the themes of sugar, exploitation, and ethics. It reveals the bittersweet truth: our love for sugar drives a cycle of exploitation and environmental damage. Sugar Spike challenges us to reconcile the indulgence associated with sugar with its profound human and environmental costs. The drip device is controlled by real-time sugar stock market data, symbolizing how the depth of exploitation increases as sugar prices rise. The installation represents sugar absorbing the lifeblood of nature and sugar workers, with the spike piercing deeper as the pursuit of sugar intensifies.
HUMAN SPIKES
Human spikes is an installation that discusses the ecological and ethical relational status between pigeons and humans in the city.
PIXEL TOTEM
Internet content algorithms deliver content based on people's interests; people are surrounded by a massive amount of fragmented information; people appear to be free in the virtual world, but they are gradually tethered to the virtual image world.
PARA
In 2100, the elite adopted a 48-hour work schedule, relying on artificial organ tissue technology to endure longer and more demanding jobs. High population density led to epidemics and blood-related deaths due to insufficient modified blood. To combat this, the government and elite initiated the "Para" project with biogenetic firms, researching plant proteins as human blood substitutes. Plants like Lohan pine and crystal orchid showed promise in enhancing heart, lung health, and lifespan but were rare. The elite leveraged these plants to treat blood diseases and boost productivity, offering customized plant blood products to the public, integrating purchase, transport, and safe injections.
